Fonefix is an Apple Authorised Service Provider (AASP), servicing the full suite of Apple products under official global processes, the work is performed by fully certified Apple technicians.
If your Apple device is out of warranty due to physical or liquid damage, unauthorized modifications, or is outside its warranty period, we may have a specialised Apple option to exchange the unit for an official re-manufactured unit of the exact same model and colour, at a reduced price compared to a brand new unit.
Your device must be in an acceptable condition for the exchange program, and must not have suffered "catastrophic" damage such as being broken into multiple pieces or heavily corroded from liquid damage.
The process will take approximately 2 working days to complete, as we need to wait for the exchange unit to arrive at Fonefix.
For an additional $30 fee, we may be able to transfer data from the faulty unit to the exchange unit, but only if the data is retrievable.
Fonefix is also an approved Insurance repairer for most major insurance companies, and we can normally liaise with your insurance provider should you prefer to lodge a claim. If an insurance assessment is provided which does not result in a paid repair, we will charge a $50 insurance assessment fee.
If you would like to proceed with this option you can create an account and go through the checkout process, entering brief details of the fault in the Notes section. You will have an option to send the device to us at your cost, or if you prefer you can pay $10 for us to send you out a return courier bag. Alternatively you can bring the device directly into our service centre in Auckland or take it back to an Apple authorised retailer (assuming you purchased the device from them).
