Fonefix is an authorised service centre (ASC) for HTC mobile phone and tablet repairs. The device must have been purchased from an HTC-approved NZ retailer**, and we will need a copy of a valid "proof of purchase" (i.e. receipt) in order to validate the warranty.
In order for your repair to be covered under warranty, it must be within its manufacturer warranty period, must not have suffered any physical or liquid damage, and must not have been modified or previously repaired by a non-authorised person or repair agent.
If you would like to proceed with this option you can create an account and go through the checkout process, entering brief details of the fault in the Notes section. You will have an option to send the device to us at your cost, or if you prefer you can pay $10 for us to send you out a return courier bag. Alternatively you can bring the device directly into our service centre in Auckland, or return it to us via the authorised retailer you purchased it from.
Once we receive the device we will assess it for warranty purposes, and assuming the warranty is validated, will either repair it or swap it out with a re-manufactured unit of the same model at no cost and return it to you.
If the warranty is not validated we may be able to offer you an out of warranty quoted option, we will communicate the details to you via email. If you decline this option we will either return the device to you or recycle it according to your preference.
Please note that the data on your device may be wiped during the repair process, so we strongly recommend making a backup of your data (if possible), before sending it to us.
** If your device was not purchased from an HTC-authorised NZ retailer, there may still be an option for us to repair it under warranty, but it need to be sent to a specialised centre in Hong Kong, and there will be a $99 service charge.
